Our 2020/21 season Photographer of the year league competition has now concluded. Due to the social restrictions associated with COVID-19 pandemic the competition could not take place in its normal form with no prints or face to face gatherings. This season it has been an entirely digital affair hosted over a video conferencing service. One small positive outcome of this mode of operation is the ability to use judges outside South Wales for a novel perspective on our photographs.

Still, despite these restrictions, our members still managed to make this season another high quality competition with many of the clubs new members getting stuck in – great to see. Across the 8 rounds of competition 21 members participated submitting 408 photographs (despite the difficulties of making photographs under these circumstances). Thank you everybody who was able to contribute to this success.

Well done Jeff Howe, Andre Van de Sande, Dave Barton, Chris Chinnick, Niall & Dave Russell for taking the top spot in at least one of the monthly rounds – you can see the winning photographs below. Our highest placed new member was Necia Rogers but it was great to see all our new members get involved. The top three places overall went to:

1stNiall
2nd – Andre Van de Sande
3rd – Dave Barton
