Ace of clubs 2021

The “Ace of clubs” is an annual competition hosted by the WPF. It normally takes place face to face but this was not possible this year due to social restrictions associated with the COVID-19 pandemic. The competition was held over a video conference service instead with over 100 spectators. The multi-round interactive selection format of the standard competition was abandoned for a simple contest with each of the 13 participating clubs contributing 30 photographs. The scoring followed the normal format with three judges assessing the photographs blind (unseen until competition) awarding scores between 2 & 5 points (maximum total score 15).

The photographs submitted to the competition were of a very high standard with a great impact. In this company Cardiff managed 10th place. The full results are below:
