Cardiff took part in the Bridgend 5-way battle against Baglan Bay, Bridgend, Rhondda & Swansea last night (9th November 2020). Due to the pandemic this annual competition was digital (rather than the normal print) and took place as a video conference. The judge for the evening was Carol McNiven Young FRPS EFIAP DPE4* CPAGB
As always it was a hard fought contest with some very high quality photographs on show. We were never in contention for first place but had quite a tussle with Bridgend for second place. At half time we were just a single point behind Bridgend (in third). In the second half and with 2 photographs to go we were now in second place with a 3 point lead over Bridgend. Unfortunately for us, Bridgend finished incredibly strongly scoring maximum points for their 2 final photographs. So, in the end, we finished in third place just one point behind. The final positions and scores are shown below:
Position | Club | Final Score |
---|---|---|
1 | Rhondda | 175 |
2 | Bridgend | 171 |
3 | Cardiff | 170 |
4 | Baglan Bay | 161 |
