The Rhondda open is a 12-way battle hosted by Rhondda Camera Club and this was the first time Cardiff had participated. Dean Pine, Trevor Waller, Jeff Howe, Dave Lawrence and Steve Willcocks went along to support the club. The other clubs taking place were Afan Nedd, Gwynfa, Bargoed, Rhondda, Baglan Morriston, Pontypridd, Aberdare, Western Valley, Bridgend and Pyle & Porthcawl. We were represented by photographs from Trevor Waller, Dave Barton, Dave Russell & Jeff Howe. Jeff’s “Rope & barrels” was our highest scoring photograph. In the end we were placed in 5th just missing out on 4th by a single point.
