We participated in the Bridgend 5-way battle for local South Wales camera clubs last Monday (6th November 2023). The event was well attended with a number of Cardiff members present to support the club. In a change to the normal participants, Pyle & Porthcawl Photographic Society had taken the place of Swansea. This change didn’t really effect the overall standard of photography on display, which remained very high. A great opportunity to see the best local club photography.
The competition was ably judged by Ralph Snook ARPS, DPAGB & EFIAP. Unfortunately, in such strong competition, we were placed last – there is always next year. One bright spot in our entry was Chris Chinnick’s photograph “North American P51 Mustang” which scored the maximum 20 points. Well done to Rhondda who won with an impressive 115 points. Thanks to Bridgend for hosting the competition.
